An IoT plant management system built on Arduino Uno and Arduino IoT Cloud. It waters plants automatically by soil moisture and runs a programmable grow light. I led the team of five and designed the electrical architecture.
The problem
Keeping plants healthy takes consistent watering and light, which is easy to forget. Flowrist automates both and lets you monitor and control your plants from anywhere.
System design
- Electrical architecture: schematics, wiring, power distribution, pump control and sensor integration.
- Watering logic: a soil moisture threshold triggers automatic irrigation, with manual override from the cloud app.
- Dashboard: real-time monitoring with historical data (moisture trends and recent watering) in Arduino IoT Cloud.
- Lighting: a full-spectrum LED subsystem that simulates sunlight on a configurable 12–16 hour cycle.
